WASHINGTON (Web Desk) – The United States air force conducted as many as 17 separate air raids against Syria and Iraq based Islamic State militant group on Christmas Day, a statement of defence department said.
Out of total 17 airstrikes five were carried out in Syrian cities of Ar Raqqah, Manbij and Mar’a where strategic locations under control of ISIS were targeted.
In Iraq strikes targeted five cities including Ramadi where several vehicles were destroyed. Jets also bombed three bridges used by Islamic State militants near Sinjar city.
