NOWSHERA (Web Desk) – A beast did not even spare a child to satisfy his wild desires in Nowshera District’s Akora Khattak tehsil. The victim, a seven-year old child was playing outside the house one evening when she was kidnapped and allegedly raped according to the child’s father. The offender was a 65-year old man, Shah Nawabzada, a resident of Akora Khattak.
The accused was arrested according to victim’s father but a trial was yet to start. He said that since the perpetrator was an influential person, so the police have been ‘compelled’ to form a deal with him in the backdoors outside of court settlement.
This horrific incident occurred one day after the story of a gang-rape victim who was filmed during the episode was reported.
With this case, the helplessness of the government is evident which has not been able to take concrete steps to control this crime.
This heinous crime has left not just Pakistan, but the whole world with a scar. Perhaps, the government in Pakistan needs to consider death penalty for such crimes, especially when it concerns a girl-child of just 7-year, so that it discourages other potential criminals from even thinking about it!
