PIA suspends flights to Dhaka till March 10

LAHORE (Web Desk) – Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) has suspended its flight operations to Dhaka till March 10 in a reaction after Bangladesh intelligence officials raided residence of Station Manager.

Foreign Office Spokesperson Tasnim Aslam on Thursday had confirmed that Bangladeshi intelligence officers raided office and house of PIA Station Manager Ali Abbas in Dhaka.

She said that Pakistan has sought clarification from the High Commissioner of Bangladesh in this regard.

The raid was conducted on Ali Abbas’s house on suspicion of smuggling currency and gold. Meanwhile, the PIA has suspended all Dhaka-bound flights in protest against the incident.

Whereas Manager Ali Abbas, who has returned to Pakistan along with his family, rejected all such allegations terming it a conspiracy against Pakistan.
