KARACHI – Bearish trend observed at the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) on Monday as it lost 487.25 points to reach to 48520.20 points level at closing.
The stocks observed the highest trading level of 49081.28 points and lowest level of 48489.74 points, with the volume of 251 million shares and value of Rs 11.6 billion. As many as 387 companies took part in the trading; of which 65 advanced, 304 declined and 18 remained unchanged.
Aisha Steel Mill was the volume leader with 24.97 million shares, shedding Rs 1.25 to finish at Rs 23.80. It was followed by Lotte Chemical with 18.58 million shares, adding Rs 0.47 to end at Rs 10.51 and BoP with 15.04 million shares, losing Rs 0.64 to close at Rs 14.78.
Pak Tobacco with price per share of 1235.71 (58.84), Khyber Tobacco with price per share of 992.35 (47.25) and Ghandhara Ind share of 901.38 (42.92) were remained top gainer.
The top three losers were Wyeth Pak Ltd with price per share of 3766.88 (-198.25), Indus Motor Co with price per share of 1596.55 (-82.62) and Sanofi-Aventis per share of 2350 (-54.11).
