FAISALABAD – A newborn baby girl was kidnapped from the Allied Hospital, Faisalabad, on Saturday. The girl was one of the twins born last week.
Hafeeza Bibi, a resident of the local village, gave birth to the twins at Allied Hospital. A woman came into the female ward and took away one of the six-day-old babies, saying that she will bring him back after a vaccination but she never returned.
The police have started the investigation into the matter with the help of closed-circuit television footage, which shows an unknown woman carrying the baby outside the hospital, reports Geo TV.
Moreover, the hospital administration has formed a three-member inquiry committee to investigate the matter. The committee comprises Deputy Medical Superintendent Dr Faheem, Dr Naseem Tahira, and security-in-charge.
On September 16, 2016, a newborn was kidnapped from the labour room of Karachi’s Abbasi Shaheed Hospital.
