69 women among 7,180 cops complete Elite commando training in Peshawar

PESHAWAR – A total of 7,180 police officials including 7,111 policemen and 69 female constables have successfully passed out the Elite commando training in 15 basic courses conducted from time to time in different training centres.

A dire need was felt in the ongoing war against terror to equip police officials to put an effective halt to the menace of terrorism.

Most of the policemen especially the women police voluntarily opted to get the toughest and sophisticated Elite commandos training.

To achieve this goal, so far 7,111 policemen completed the commandos training in 15 basic courses. Similarly, 69 female police selected for the said training completed the fourth-month rigorous training in two basic courses by surpassing all different phases of training successfully.

The third batch of women commandos are getting training in the centre and well become part of Elite commandos very soon said the spokesperson on Sunday.

Nowadays these 69 ladies police commandos are taking active part shoulder-to-shoulder with their men fellows in all sorts of operations and raids being carried out in different parts of the province against hardcore terrorists and criminals involved in heinous crimes.

It may be recalled that two women police officials of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, one each from Nowshera and Swat district rendered supreme sacrifice of their precious lives in line of duty.
