MENLO PARK – To cater the needs of users residing in developing nations with erratic internet connectivity and entry-level devices with low storage, Instagram announced the Lite version of its application.
Instagram Lite for Android is now available in selected countries and it has begun testing in Mexico this week.
As the name suggests, the application is a toned down version of the original Instagram and weighs 1/55th the size of the original application.
You can post photos, stories, and browse explore tab, however, it doesn’t allow you to share videos or Direct Message friends.
