Afridi refuses to appear before PCB inquiry committee

LAHORE (Staff Report) – Pakistan Twenty20 captain Shahid Afridi has refused to appear before Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) inquiry committee.

According to media reports, Pakistan Cricket Board inquiry committee held its first meeting today in order to establish facts behind Pakistan’s early exit from World Twenty20 and Asia Cup performance and called Shahid Afridi for explanation, however, Afridi refused to appear before the committee, saying that he could be reached on telephone.

Afridi told the committee that his daughter was unwell and that he could not appear before the PCB committee in person.

The committee comprises of Misbah ul Haq, Younus Khan, Subhan Ahmed and Shakil Sheikh.
