CALIFORNIA – Frenzied fans of PokeMon Go are craving another virtual reality experience in the world of another famed fictional series, Harry Potter, just as the 8th part of the young adult fantasy series was launched this week.
Although the creators of PokeMon Go have yet to officially confirm the development of a Harry Potter Go game, an interview by Marcus Figueroa, a senior developer at Niantic, the studio which produced the Pokemon game, gave fans hope.
“We have acquired the rights for the app. The demand for this title was absolutely insane, so we figured we’d give it a shot. If we’re lucky we might see a launch by early 2017, but it’s hard to tell this early in the project,” Marcus reportedly said.
When questioned further by the press, he added: “We want to do something with schools of witchcraft and wizardry, similar to Pokestops in Pokemon GO, as wells a quest system, and possibly large scale completely interactive events, but no promises. That’s all I can say,” he added.
PokeMon Go created a frenzy around the world after release and became one of the top fastest-selling games of all time. Among many other interesting incidents linked to the game, reports of fans landing themselves in danger have also surfaced due to their inability to focus on anything else but the addictive game.
