Ervine ton lifts Zimbabwe to unusual win

HARARE (Web Desk) –New Zealand on Sunday met an unbelievable defeat by seven wickets at the hands of Zimbabwe when it successfully chased a target of 304 runs with six balls remaining in Harare cricket stadium.

Zimbabwe’s CR Ervine remained the most prominent batsman and scored 130 runs off 108 balls only with help of 11 fours and 5 sixes. Opener H Masakadza also played a tremendous innings of 84 runs.

New Zealand’s NL McCullum picked all three wickets against Zimbabwe.

Earlier New Zealand, while batting first, raised a total of 303 runs for 4 wickets. Taylor scored 112 runs whereas Williamson missed his century by three runs only.
