PSL 2019: Multan Sultans trounce Islamabad United by 5 wickets

DUBAI – Islamabad United faced a defeat at the hands of Multan Sultans in the fourth encounter of Pakistan Super League on Saturday.

Multan Sultans won the toss and decided to bowl first against Islamabad United – a decision which apparently seems to have worked well.

L.Ronchi scored 51 runs while Faheem Ashraf managed to bag 20 runs. Islamabad United lost 7 wickets in its innings to set a target of 126 runs for Sultans.

On the other hand, Asad Shafiq and Shahid Afridi took two wickets each.

In response, Multan Sultans clinched the target easily with captain Shoaib Malik scoring 31 runs.

Shadab Khan took two wickets while Islamabad United captain Muhammad Sami bagged one.

The match was played in United Arab Emirates and Multan Sultans was being led by Shoaib Malik.

On the other hand, Muhammad Sami led Islamabad United in the fourth season of the thrilling Pakistan Super League.

Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf’s former secretary general, Jahangir Khan Tareen also showed up to watch the match.
