SOUTHAMPTON – England brushed aside West Indies by 8 wickets in the 19th encounter of ICC Cricket World Cup 2019 at the Rose Bowl, Southampton on Friday.
England restricted West Indies to 212 after winning the toss and deciding to field first. Nicolas Pooram scored 63 runs while Shimron Hetmyer contributed 39 to the total.
In response, England chased the target easily as Joe Root scored a century while Jonny Bairstow scored 45 to win the match in 34th over.
