KARACHI – Acclaimed Pakistani TV star Mahira Khan has paid rich tribute to late veteran TV artist Zaheen Tahira who died on July 9 at the age of 70.
In her recent tweet, Mahira said: “What a wonderful human being and actor.. honoured that I got to work with her. Rest In Peace my forever bua…”

Tahira had been a well-known TV star in Pakistan television history. She dominated the TV screens in the late 1960s, 1970s and 1980s by portraying strong characters mainly on Pakistan Television Corporation (PTV) Karachi centre.
She has been a part of more than 700 dramas in both lead and supporting roles. She has also directed and produced a few drama serials.
Tahira was honoured with Tamgha e Imtiaz in 2013 by the then President of Pakistan for her exceptional work for the entertainment industry of Pakistan.
