Western route of CPEC to benefit remote areas: Ahsan Iqbal

ISLAMABAD (Staff Report) – Federal Minister for Planning and Development Ahsan Iqbal has said the completion of western route of China Pakistan Economic Corridor Project will benefit the backward areas of the country.

Addressing a roundtable dialogue in Islamabad on Wednesday, he said the corridor project envisages eighty percent investment in energy project.

In his remarks on the occasion, Chinese Ambassador to Pakistan Sun Weidong termed the CPEC an important project.

He said the project really reflects the strong bonds of friendship between the two countries.
