DAMMAM (Web Desk) – A Saudi man serving a jail term in a security case was given a five-star wedding inside the prison in the Gulf Kingdom before receiving a cheque from the Interior Minister as a wedding gift, a newspaper said on Tuesday.

Pictures of the wedding published by ‘Sada’ Arabic language daily showed it was an extravagant party, which was attended by the couple’s families.
The paper said the management of the prison in the Eastern Saudi port of Dammam staged the party at its own expense.
At the end of the wedding, the groom and his bride were given a SR10,000 cheque as a wedding gift from Interior Minister Prince Mohammed bin Nayef.
“The prison management also made decorations and arrangements for the couple’s honeymoon inside the prison,” the report said.
