PARIS (Web Desk) – Hundreds of people queued up to give blood in Paris following the devastating terrorist attacks last night, Metro reported.
As doctors treated people wounded in explosions or by gunmen, the line to give blood at the national blood service EFS grew to a hundred within an hour of the centre opening.
Despite president Francois Holland declaring a state of emergency, people left the safety of their homes to try and help victims.
The massive response today from Parisians is shown in this video.
EFS said today that generous donations from people had met the need, but they always needed to keep their reserves of blood stocked well, saying they needed 10,000 donations every day to meet demand.
