Pakistan test fires indigenous Buraq drone, Barq missile

RAWALPINDI (Web Desk) – Pakistan on Friday successfully test fired the locally developed armed drone Buraq and Barq, a laser guided missile, ISPR said.

Chief of the Army Staff General Raheel Sharif, according to the twitter feed of DG ISPR, witnessed the test fire and appreciated the efforts of scientists and engineers for the state of art technology. “This success story has put Pakistan in a different league,” he said.

The army chief termed the test fire a great national achievement which according to him will play a significant role in the fight against terrorism.

He also congratulated the nation, while pledging to continue working to take Pakistan forward in the respective field.

The Buraq, the ISPR informed, was tested by targeting the static and moving objects with impressive accuracy. The drone can operate in all weathers effectively.
