Don t bring Samsung Galaxy Note 7 onboard, PIA warns passengers

ISLAMABAD (Web Desk) – Pakistan International Airlines has warned passengers not to bring Samsung Galaxy Note 7 smartphones on its planes fearing the reports that the smartphone can explode any time.

A PIA spokesperson took to Twitter to disclose the travel advisory adding that the suspicious phone should not be carried in check-in luggage area even.

Earlier this week, the US Federal Aviation Administration strongly urged its passengers not to turn on or charge Samsung Galaxy Note 7 smartphones on aircraft. Qantas and Virgin Australia also told commuters not to use or charge the devices on their plane. India also joined the ban club and advised travellers to avoid the specific phone while on board.

Following the multiple reports regarding the explosion of the phone, South Korean company recalled as many as 2.5 million units from around the world. It has also put a stop to the sale of the Galaxy Note 7.
