State Bank issues regular coin of Rs 10 across the country

KARACHI – The State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) has issued Rs 10 regular coin across the country through the exchange counters of all the field offices of SBP Banking Services Corporation.

According to media reports the new coin of Rs 10 can be obtained from the exchange counters of all field offices of SBP Banking Services Corporations.

The Federal Government authorised the SBP to issue Rs.10 regular coin, Chief Spokesman SBP told APP.

The coin is yellow in colour and round with serrations on the edge and a diameter of 25.5 mm. It weighs 5.50 grams. The obverse side of the coin has a waxing crescent moon. A five-pointed star facing northwest in a rising position is at the centre of the coin.

On top of the crescent star along the periphery, Islami Jamhooria Pakistan is inscribed in Urdu. Below the crescent, and on top of the two sprigs of wheat with arms curved upwards, there is the year of issuance. A circle of small beads can also be seen along the coin’s edge.

The reverse side of the coin is decorated with the front-side picture of Faisal Mosque with doves flying over it.
