Brawl breaks out between PML-N and PTI lawmakers in KP parliament

PESHAWAR – On Friday, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Speaker Asad Qasier suspended the parliamentary session till February 20 after a scuffle erupted between PML-N and PTI lawmakers following the exchange of harsh words.

The uproar was witnessed after PML-N legislator Aurangzed Nalotha called the ruling party “Tehreek Nainsaf” . Nalotha said that he had asked for the formation of a committee to address complaints regarding negligence of lawmakers in the issuance of development funds.

Earlier on Thursday, the KP Assembly also witnessed uproar as the lawmakers exchanged harsh and unparliamentary words forcing the Deputy Speaker to adjourn the session halfway.

The uproar erupted when two lawmakers from Upper Dir district, one from the ruling Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) and the other from the opposition Pakistan People’s Party (PPP), abused each other.
