LAHORE (Staff Report) – Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif on Friday said MQM chief Altaf Hussain’s derogatory remarks against Pakistan Army are like betrayal to national interests.
Sharif, in a statement issued to media, demanded MQM chief an unconditional apology for hurting the emotions of Pakistanis and asking help from Indian RAW. MQM workers and leadership should also dissociate themselves from Altaf Hussain’s statement, he said.
The chief minister commended the sacrifices of armed forces of Pakistan also in his statement.
Earlier the spokesperson of Pakistan Army had also termed the remarks by Altaf Hussain as disgusting while warning him of legal consequences.
MQM chief Altaf Hussain criticized the armed forces of Pakistan while asking Indian intelligence agency, RAW, for favors in his late night address to party workers.
