ISLAMABAD (Staff Report) – Maldives President Abdullah Yameen Abdul Gayoom on Wednesday arrived in Islamabad on a two day official visit to Pakistan.
Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif welcomed the honorable guest and his delegation at Noor Khan Airbase.
During his stay, he will hold talks with President Mamnoon Hussain and Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif to discuss regional and international issues.
On this occasion, the two sides would sign a number of documents on cooperation in various sectors including Health, Education, Narcotics trafficking and Sports.
Pakistan attaches great importance to its relations with the Maldives. The two countries enjoy close and cordial relations based on mutual trust, common faith and understanding.
