ISLAMABAD – The federal government has decided to increase the rates of regulatory duty on 300 imported items, local media reported.

The decision to increase the tax on imported items has been taken in a meeting of Economic Coordination Committee (ECC) presided over by Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi in Islamabad.

Prices of imported items including cars, mobile phones, shampoo, tiles, tires, readymade garments, petroleum products and other items will increase after the imposition of the regulatory duty.
