Bilal Ashraf – About finding his Rangreza inspiration in late Junaid Jamshed

LAHORE – Bilal Ashraf recently talked to Fifi Haroon of BBC Urdu regarding his character in the upcoming movie ‘Rangreza’ and what inspired him.

The ‘Yalghaar’ star talked about his ‘rockstar’ avatar for the film ‘Rangreza’. “I researched a lot on North American bands, British Bands, and of course are very own here, such as Junoon, Vital Signs, and Junaid Jamshed – who is my personal favourite – to find inspiration,” said Bilal.

“I still listen to his (Junaid Jamshed) songs, and also there’s a concert performance in the film – which is close to my heart – which I’ve dedicated to him Junaid Jamshed because he was a legend,” Bilal continued.

Bilal also mentioned that his performance in the film was a tribute to the late Junaaid Jamshed.

‘Rangreza’ is directed by Amir Mohiuddin slated to release on December 21st 2017. The film also stars Urwa Hocane, Gohar Rasheed, and Ghana Ali in titular roles.
