All agencies to get due share in probing Czech drug mule after war for custody

LAHORE – Days after a ‘war’ sparked between Pakistani departments over the custody of a Czech model arrested in the country for smuggling narcotics, the officials have reached a consensus to solve the case.

Pakistan Customs, Airport Security Force (ASF) and Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF) were engaged in a legal fight to win the custody of 21-year-old model, Tereza Hluskova, who was caught with 9kg heroin at Lahore airport on Wednesday last week.

It has now been decided with the mutual understanding that a joint investigation team (JIT) will be formed to interrogate the model. An intelligence agency official will also be a member of the team.

The JIT will interrogate the foreign model and also the officials, who showed negligence while performing duty at the airport.

Hluskova, travelling to Ireland via Abu Dhabi, was caught by Customs officials after successfully passing through two Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF) checking counters at Allama Iqbal International Airport on Wednesday.

Tereza was in Pakistan on a three-month family visit visa which was issued on November 15 and valid till February 14.

Meanwhile, authorities have begun raiding different parts of the city based on the information provided by the woman.
