PPF to host documentary photography exhibition in Lahore

LAHORE – An exhibition of Pakistan Photo Festival (PPF) will take placein Lahore on February 17-19, 2018.

The three day event will be held at Canal Metro Station and Kalma Chowk Metro Station, and will feature the work of eight young individuals from across Pakistan.

The photographers, who participated in a 7-month long fellowship in Lahore, have produced thought-provoking projects on some of the most pressing social, economic, legal and rights struggles of the country, said a press release issued by PPF on Saturday.

“The photographers were guided under the professional mentorship of national and international photographers such as Mathieu Paley, Asim Rafiqui, Didier Ruef, Mahesh Shantaram, Wendy Marijnissen and Shah Zaman Baloch,” it added.

The event is an initiative of Shah Zaman Baloch, and comprises photographers, artists, filmmakers, content creators, journalists, social scientists, academicians and publishers with a vision to contribute to the social fabric of society through the art form of photography.

“The festival is open to public and everyone can join,” Faizan Adil, an organiser of the event said.
