BHOPAL – A man in central Indian state of Madhya Pradesh threw a lavish party for his son, who failed in the grade 10 board examinations.
Surendra Kumar Vyas, a civil contractor in the city of Sagar in Madhya Pradesh, told Times of India, “This is how I want to motivate my son. After failing in exams, children go into depression and some of them even take the extreme step of ending their lives. I want to tell such children that boards are not the last exams. There is much more to come in life.”
“My son can reappear in the exam again next year,” Kumar added.
The boy, Ashu appreciated his father’s gesture and promised to study harder in the next academic session so he can pass with excellent grades.
A large number of guests including friends and neighbours attended the event featuring a DJ and massive fireworks.
