Serena Williams shuts down a reporter asking sexist questions

Serena Williams is one of the best tennis players of all time. She is no stranger to sexism and body shaming. On Saturday , June 2 during a press conference things took an awkward turn when reporters started to ask targeted questions about opponent Maria Sherapova.

Accodding to rolling out an unknown reporter starry to ask sexist questions. A reporter told Serena how he knows she has to get back to her daughter so “work with me here, please.” To which Serena like a boss replied “Work with me (while smiling at him).” This didn’t stop here, the reporter rather than moving on to relevant question made a remark “we’re in this together baby.” To which tennis player snapped back “No we’re not; you’re not going back home to a screaming baby.”

As if this much diss wasn’t enough for the reporter the next question wasn’t cringe worthy. The reporter brought 2004 Wimbledon match against Sherapova in which the Russian pro won against Serena by asking the question “ Donald Trump the reporter at the time Maria’s shoulders were incredibly alluring and then he came up this incredible analysis: that you were intimidated by her supermodel good looks.” Adding “My question here is: Have you ever been initimidated by anyone else on a tennis court, and what are your thoughts about this occurrence?”

To which tennis player replied

I honestly don’t have any thoughts about that. I can’t say I have been intimidated by anyone. That’s all. That’s it. -Serena

The cringe is real!
