NEW YORK (Web Desk) –Third international conference on “financing for development” begins at the UN Headquarters in New York from tomorrow.
The conference is expected to work out possible ways and means for new vision of world development.
The eight UN Millennium Development Goals from year 2000 expiring this year will be replaced by a new set of 17 UN Sustainable Development Goals aimed to drive development efforts around the world.
The fifteen-year project will greatly help to end poverty, hunger, and attain the goals of health, gender equality, education, water and sanitation, energy, economic growth, sustainable consumption and production, climate change, biodiversity and marine conservation in the world.
