Saudia Arabia permits screening of Pakistani films, dramas

JEDDAH – Life in Saudia Arabia is certainly changing. The government is taking measures for changing the laws of the state. A few months ago the Saudi government had issued a notice which allowed women for driving the cars.

The Saudi cinemas will be showcasing international films and dramas of Pakistan. This is a good news for all the movie lovers in the country.

Both the countries will be exchanging their films and dramas on the screens. This agreement was being signed last week between Fawad Chaudhry, Federal Minister for Information Broadcasting, and his Saudi counterpart Dr. Awad bin Saleh.

Fawad Chaudhry had promised to give a boost to Pakistan Film Industry significant revenue generation industry, urging overseas Pakistanis to invest.

This step is being considered as an attempt to strengthen social and cultural ties between the two nations. It will also help in building up closer relation between Pakistan and Saudia Arabia.

Also, the actors and actresses will get fame internationally. They might also get a chance of working in the cross-border showbiz industry.

For entertaining the audience, The Saudi authorities are planning to build up around 350 cinemas with over 2,500 screens in coming 10 years. We are glad to know about this revolutionary step by the Saudi government.
