Nawaz seeks Zardari s help to give tough time to PM Imran

ISLAMABAD – Former prime minister Nawaz Sharif has once against called Pakistan Peoples Party co-chairman Asif Ali Zardari for help to give the tough time to the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) government.

A delegation of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) headed by Raja Zafarul Haq and comprising Senator Chaudhry Tanveer, Tariq Fazl Chaudhry and Anjum Aqeel on Sunday held a meeting with PPP secretary general Nayyar Bukhari at his residence to deliver the message of the former premier, local media reported citing sources.

The visiting delegation emphasized the need to join hands in order to strengthen the opposition alliance, which disbanded after both parties clashed over the nominees for prime minister and president’s elections,  against the PTI.

The PML-N has also offered to field joint candidates during the upcoming by-elections.

In response, the PPP leader said that he would convey the message to the party leadership and will respond after consultations.

Nawaz Sharif seems active in political contacts after he was released from the Adiala Jail following his bail granted by the Islamabad High Court in the Avenfield reference.
