ISLAMABAD – Days after the IGP Islamabad transfer saga, another top official was replaced over differences at the administrative level with Zulfi Bukhari, the special assistant to PM on overseas Pakistanis and human resource development, local media reported.
Sheikh Mohammad Asif, the additional secretary (Incharge) of the Ministry of Human Resouce and Overseas Pakistanis, was directed to report to the Establishment Division.
He was removed from the post due to administrative differences with Bukhari, Express News reported.
Pervaiz Ahmad Junejo has now been appointed to replace Asif Junejo, a grade 22 officer, was earlier performing his duty at Pakistan Institue of Parliamentary Services (PIPS).
Earlier, the apex court had taken suo motu notice after the federal government transferred Inspector General of Police (IGP), Islamabad, Jan Muhammad for allegedly refusing to take action on the complaint of Federal Minister Azam Swati’s son and failing to pick calls from the minister.

Later, the apex court suspended the notification of IGP’s transfer and formed a joint investigation team to probe the misconduct and assets of Swati. A report has been submitted to the court by the probe team.
