Pakistan Cup 2016 Final Match: Punjab vs Khyber Pakhtunkhwa - Watch Live Score and Live Streaming: KP defeat Punjab by 151 runs
FAISALABAD (Staff Report) – KP won final match of Pakistan Cup 2016 by 151 runs against Punjab, played at Iqbal stadium, Faisalabad on Sunday.

Younus Khan’s Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) team won the toss and elected to bat against Punjab led by star player Shoaib Malik.

KP finished the first innings with 311 runs on the board after losing 9 wickets.

Fakhar Zaman of KP played an amazing innings of 115 runs of 111 balls which included 12 fours and 3 sixes. His opening partner played a knock of 62 runs off just 45 deliveries. Skipper Younus Khan remained not out on 49 runs.

Pakistan Cup 2016:

In the first round of one-day domestic championship, which is expected to boost local cricket structure, as many as five teams -each team representing one province  and Islamabad- fought each other in ten games. Top teams qualified for the final game.

Sarfraz Ahmed, Shoaib Malik, Younis Khan, Azhar Ali and Misbah-ul-Haq led Sindh, Punjab, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Balochistan and Islamabad respectively.


Meanwhile Touseef Ahmed, Ejaz Ahmed, Muhtashim Rasheed, Kabeer Khan and Mansoor Rana performed as coaches to the teams of Sindh, Balochistan, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Punjab and Islamabad respectively.

Iqbal Stadium, Faisalabad

Each captain had selected a squad of 15 players from a pool of 150 players through adraft draw held in Lahore on April 12 (Tuesday). Participating cricketers and coaches would receive 200% match fees for the tournament.


Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) announced tickets ranging from Rs100 to Rs200 for those who want to see live matches at Iqbal Stadium, Faisalabad.
