LAHORE – After India’s skipper Virat Kohli and Bollywood’s beauty Anushka Sharma tied the knot in Italy they received wishes and love from all corners of the world. Among all the wishes that came their way, the ones that came from the Pakistani cricketers caught the attention of many.
Former Pakistani skipper Shahid Afridi was the first one to come up with a congratulatory tweet for the lovely couple. Soon, Shoaib Akhtar, Mohammad Amir, Azhar Mahmood and Umar Akmal followed as well.

It was indeed a great gesture coming from the other side of the border. The wishes coming from the Pakistani cricketers showcased the warm relationship between cricketers from India and Pakistan. But, surprisingly, Virat Kohli and Anushka Sharma have acknowledged only the good wishes that Shahid Afridi had conveyed.

The newly-wed power couple, who married according to Hindu rites at a countryside resort in Tuscany on Monday, be shifting to their “new residence in Worli in December”.
The couple will host a reception in New Delhi for relatives on December 21, followed by a celebration in Mumbai on December 26 to be attended by Bollywood stars and cricketers.

For now, Anushka is set to travel to South Africa along with Virat as India tour the country for a three-match Test, six ODIs and three T20Is series. She will return back to India in the first week of January to shoot for her next Bollywood movie.
Virat is among the world’s highest-paid athletes, and Anushka is one of the top actresses in the film industry.
They started dating in 2013 after they met during the filming of a shampoo advert and made their first public appearance a year later during a football match.
