Fakhar Zaman to replace injured Imam-ul-Haq for 2nd Test against Australia

DUBAI – Fakhar Zaman will replace injured Imam-ul-Haq as Pakistan’s opening batsman in the second Test, scheduled to start at Sheikh Zayed Cricket Stadium Abu Dhabi from Tuesday (tomorrow).

Zaman has had a disastrous performance during recently held Asia Cup 2018; he looked terribly out of form and hadn’t scored even a single half-century throughout the mega event.

This will be his first Test match for the national side. Earlier, Imam was ruled out of the second Test after he injured his finger during the match at the Dubai cricket stadium.

He has been advised three weeks rest following his surgery. The left-hand opener performed well in the first Test scoring 76 and 46 in respective innings.

Australia narrowly escaped defeat in the first Test against Pakistan.
