LAHORE – Pakistan’s most popular actor, model and singer, Fawad Afzal Khan turned 36 today (Wednesday).
Fawad was born on November 29, 1981, in Karachi. The singer-cum-actor was one of the members a Lahore-based alternative rock band Entity Paradigm. In 2001 he made his television debut in Jutt and Bond and was later featured in 2008 TV series Satrangi. In 2011, Khan starred alongside Mahira Khan in the romantic drama Humsafar which became a significant turning point in his career.
He has gone on to appear in many hit TV series, including Daastan (2010), Akbari Asghari (2011), Kuch Pyar Ka Pagalpan (2011), Zindagi Gulzar Hai (2012) and Numm (2013).
In 2007 Fawad made his film debut with a supporting role in a Pakistani movie Khuda Kay Liye. He forayed into Bollywood playing a prince opposite Sonam Kapoor in Khoobsurat (2014) and won a Filmfare award for best debut male.
Fawad’s other filmography includes Kapoor & Sons (2016) and Ae Dil Hai Mushkil (2016).
In September 2014, Khan became the first Pakistani to be featured on the cover of Filmfare magazine and was featured again on the cover of the same magazine in October 2015.
Fawad Khan declared 3rd Sexiest Asian Man by British magazine Eastern Eye Weekly in 2016.
