BIRMINGHAM (Web Desk) – English middle order batsman Ian Bell has announced his retirement from One Day International (ODI) Cricket to prolong his Test career.
Ian Bell wrote in an column on cricket website that he was thinking of it since quite a bit of time and he talked with English team coach Bellis, Captain Alaister Cook, his family and close friend on future of his cricket and he concluded that only Test cricket is left in him and it is the right time to cut-off from ODI cricket
He further said that he has Test cricket in him and he want to achieve Individual records and records for his country.
33-years old Bell has scored 5416 runs in 161 ODI innings at an average of 37.37 including 4 centuries and 35 half centuries.
Bell is the Most successful English One Day batsman and he represented England team in World Cup 2015 for the last time.
