LAHORE – Lahore will be the hub of major swimming activities when the 55th National Men’s and 16th National Women’s (Open) Swimming Championship (50 M) will be held from November 2 at
Punjab International Swimming Pool Complex.
The three-day premier activities are being held under the auspices of the Pakistan Swimming Federation and Pakistan Women’s Swimming Association.
“All the Affiliated Member Units of the PSF and PWSA, including Punjab, Sindh, KPK, Balochistan, Islamabad, Gilgit Baltistan, Army, Navy, PAF, WAPDA, and HEC will participate in the competition”, said a spokesman of PSF while talking to media on Wednesday.
He said a total of 40 x events (20 for male, 19 for female and 1 Mix) will be contested in the event in which Pakistan Army will defend the title.
He said the competition will also serve as open trials for selecting teams for the international competitions including 13th South Asian Championship, March 2019, Nepal, 6th FINA World Junior
Swimming Championship. Budapest, Hungary, and 18th FINA World Championship August 2019, South Korea.
