Presidency, PM house budget shows major slash

The details of the Prime Minister’s House expenses have come to light. A meeting of spokespersons was held under the chairmanship of Prime Minister Imran Khan.

It was informed in the meeting that millions of rupees have been saved in the Prime Minister’s Office and the Prime Minister’s House in terms of expenditure.

The Prime Minister did not give any gifts or cash awards under his discretionary powers. At present, the expenditure of the Prime Minister’s House has been reduced to Rs 180 million.

It may be recalled that the expenditure of the Prime Minister’s House in 2018 was Rs 509 million, and that of the Prime Minister’s Office was Rs 514 million, while the reduction was Rs 305 million.

The Premier was also briefed on the expenditure incurred by the former chiefs on foreign trips. It was informed that Yousuf Raza Gilani had made 48 visits on which an amount of Rs 570 million was spent from the national exchequer.

Pervez Ashraf spent 107 million on 9 tours, Nawaz Sharif made 92 foreign tours and spent 4.3 billion rupees, and Shahid Khaqan Abbasi spent 260 million rupees on 19 tours.

On the other hand, Prime Minister Imran Khan’s two foreign trips cost Rs 176 million, while the Prime Minister saved millions of rupees without having a camp office.
