ICC World T20 2016 trophy departs on global journey, will reach Pakistan on January 11

DUBAI (Staff Report) – The ICC World Twenty20 India 2016 trophy Sunday began its global journey to visit 12 major cricketing countries and will reach New Delhi on February 1, 2016 just two days ahead of beginning of the mega event.

The trophy will arrive in Pakistan on January 11 where it will be exhibited in Lahore and Karachi. It will depart for Bangladesh on January 12.

After Bangladesh the trophy will reach Sri Lanka, the defending T20 champion, on January 17.

The final game of the mega T20 event will be played on April 3, 2016 in Kolkata’s Eden Garden stadium.

13-14 December – Scotland
16-17 December – Ireland
20-21 December – England
22-23 December – Netherlands
2-3 January – Zimbabwe
5-7 January – South Africa
11-12 January – Pakistan
14-15 January – Bangladesh
17-18 January – Sri Lanka
21-24 January – New Zealand
26-31 January – Australia
1 February – arrival in New Delhi
