This Indian man wants to win world record with 62-ft-long hair

SURENDRANAGAR, Gujarat (UPI) – An Indian man with 62-foot long hair has said he is applying to be recognized by the Guinness World Records.

A video filmed in a village in Surendranagar, Gujarat, shows Savjibhai Rathwa unspooling his dreadlock-like coil of hair that he has been growing out for decades.

Rathwa, 60, who often walks around with the rope-like coil wrapped around his arm or arranged on his head like a turban, said he eats plenty of fruits and vegetables to keep his hair healthy and strong.

Moreover, he spends three hours washing his hair about every two days and has his grandchildren hold it out in the sun to dry.
