Another Samsung Galaxy S9 mini spotted at Chinese certification portal

SEOUL – Samsung is rumored to launch Galaxy S9 mini which will be smaller in size, sport a mid-range processor and will be priced just right to attract more Androiders as a new model code SM-G8850 has been spotted at the Chinese certification authority TENAA’s website.

Previously, the Samsung Galaxy S9 Mini smartphone with the model number SM-G8750 was seen on Geekbench’s website and Benchmark listing showed it having a Snapdragon 660 chipset, 4GB RAM and running on Android 8.0 Oreo.

The Samsung G8850 is rumored to be another variant of S9 min for the Chinese market.

According to TENAA listing, the device features a 5.8-inches Super AMOLED screen similar to Galaxy S9. However, it deviates from the S9 with its fingerprint sensor and rear camera. The Samsung Galaxy S9 and S9 Plus have the dual camera placed on the center of the back panel with the fingerprint sensor right below while the spotted smartphone has the dual camera sensors on the left and the fingerprint scanner is placed at the back of the device. The front camera also switches from the left of the notch to the right.

The device is powered by Exynos 9 series 2.8 GHz Octa-core processor coupled with Mali G72MP18 GPU and 4GB of RAM.  The battery capacity is 3000 mAh.

For imaging, the device features 12 MP dual snipper at back with 4K @ 30fps video recording and 12 MP front-facing camera.
