ABU DHABI – Shane Watson’s unbeaten 91 runs guided Quetta Gladiators to beat Darren Sammy’s Peshawar Zalmi by eight wickets in the 23rd match of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) 2019 at the Sheikh Zayed Stadium.
The win takes Gladiators to the top of the points table of the mega event. Zalmi’s Umaid Asif and Sameen Gul picked one-wicket each.
Zalmi’s Kamran Akmal smashed 72 runs off 50 balls while Kieron Pollard scored unbeaten 45 runs after sent into bat first. Mohammad Nawaz and Fawad Ahmed managed to get one wicket apiece.

Peshawar Zalmi, who topped the points table, played seven matches, five won and two lost. Similarly, Quetta Gladiators played seven and won five and lost two stood second at the table.
The next match will be played between Karachi Kings and Multan sultans tonight.
