LAHORE (Staff Report) – Pakistan T20 captain Shahid Afridi got angry after a reporter asked him a question about his ‘poor performance’ as skipper on Wednesday.
During a press conference at National Cricket Academy here, Shahid Afridi slammed the reporter of a private TV channel, ignoring the question as ‘cheap’.
Shahid Afridi arrived at Qaddafi Stadium to meet chairman Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Shahryar Khan.
When asked about his low winning percentage as the T20 captain, Afridi replied he was already expecting ‘cheap question’ from the reporter.

It is, however, unclear whether the reporter has a bitter past with the cricketer or Afridi just got infuriated over the abrupt question. Analysts say the skipper should have replied properly to the question, at least.
“I am hopeful that Pakistan team will play the final of International Cricket Council (ICC) T20 Cricket World Cup,” Afridi kept on going after the argument.
To a question regarding Mohammad Amir’s visa, ‘Boom Boom’ replied that he was pretty hopeful that Amir would soon get visa. “Even if it didn’t happen, Pakistan side is very balanced and capable of performing well,” he added.
He added Amir is a wonderful athlete and he had always a soft corner for Amir in his heart for telling truth at the first place, unlike Mohammad Asif and Salman Butt.
