MOHALI (Staff Report) – Just a week after West Indies’ historic World T20 2016 win -which proved every single word of DJ Bravo’s Champion song as true- Bravo has outshone all other fellow cricketers by taking 300 wickets in T20 format of cricket.
On Monday evening, when the Kings XI Punjab vs Gujarat Lions clash began at Mohali’s cricket stadium, Bravo was one wicket behind Sri Lankan pacer Lasith Malinga’s 299.
But at the end of the Indian Premier League (IPL) match, Bravo had 302 wickets in his hand -which is now a new world record. He picked four wickets, just missing the fifth one when Sarabjit Ladda dropped the towering top edge of Axar Patel.
Victims of Bravo’s disastrous bowling included Glenn Maxwell, David Miller, Wriddhiman Saha and Marcus Stoinis.
