GWADAR – Iran has made it clear that it will not allow anyone to use its land against Pakistan, while also refuting news reports regarding handing over control of Chabahar port to India.
According to a news channel, Iranian Ambassador to Turkey, Ali Reza Bikdeli, completely denied that Iran was against the Gwadar port, during an address at a ceremony regarding China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) here at Gwadar.
He stated that all such news items regarding competition between Gwadar and Chabahar were baseless and fabricated, adding that Iran wanted close coordination between Chabahar and Gwadar.
The Iranian ambassador highlighted that Chabahar was a property of Iran and not India, adding that it was completely handled by natives.
