LAHORE – Players of Pakistan Hockey team called on Punjab Governor Choudhry Muhammad Sarwar on Thursday.
Hockey is Pakistan’s national game and has brought great laurels to the nation in the past. “We all want to see the revival of the game in the country,” Sarwar expressed while greeting the players at Governor House.
“The way you boys [team Pakistan] are training for the World Cup, I am hopeful that you will put up a good show in India,” he added.

On this occasion, the governor was presented with a hockey stick and a shirt, signed by Pakistan’s winning squad of the Asian Champions Trophy 2018.
PHF President Brig (r) Khalid Sajjad Khokhar was also present on the occasion.
The 14th edition of the Hockey World Cup will take place at the Kalinga Stadium from November 28 to December 16.
