Cyclist turned away by Masjid al-Ḥaram security

MAKKAH (Web Desk) – An Arab expatriate tried to enter the Grand Mosque in Saudi Arabia with a bicycle but he was stopped by the mosque guards, the Emirates247 reported on Tuesday.

The man, who was wearing normal clothes, told security guards that he wanted to pray inside but was afraid his bicycle could be stolen if left outside.

The guards, however, turned him away, saying that he could not take the bicycle inside because the Masjid al-Haram is a sacred place, according to the Makka daily.

The Grand Mosque (Masjid Al Haram) in the Western town of Makkah is the world’s largest mosque and surrounds Islam’s holiest place, the Kaaba.
