LAHORE (Staff Report) – PCB chairman Shaharyar Khan on Friday gave the go-ahead to pacer Muhammad Amir for attending fitness camp.
However, according to media reports, Amir’s selection for the upcoming tour of New Zealand will depend upon his visa clearance.
Pacer’s clearance from PCB shocked some former players about his tainted past over spot-fixing issue.
Former test cricketer Aaqib Javed said that it was too early to call up Amir in the national team.

But, on the other hand, legendary cricketer Wasim Akram backed the talented pacer, saying that he performed well in Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) so he should be selected for national team.
“Aamir has already completed his five-year ban imposed on him by the ICC over spot fixing,” Wasim said, adding that he deserves another chance.
The camp will be set up on December 21 ahead of series with New Zealand and Twenty20 World Cup.
