NEW DELHI (Web Desk) – Although Indian military officials have been bragging about a surgical strike inside Pakistan, an Indian journalist has exposed the claims saying that the military did not put forth evidence regarding the tall claims.
Pallavi Gosh, an Indian journalist, told Geo News on Thursday that the Director General of Military Operations Ranbir Singh did not present any evidence of surgical strike which the Indian army claims to have carried out across the Line of Control against militants.

“You have to believe veracity of military’s claim,” Gosh said responding to whether Indian journalists who attended the media briefing of the DGMO demanded any evidence.
Answering a question as to why no evidence was sought by Indian media when their army claimed killing over 30 people across the border in surgical strikes, Gosh maintained the military will soon provide the evidence, without mentioning any date or time.

India, which claims to be the largest democracy in the world, has reportedly forced local media not to broadcast any news item about the army before an approval is given by the defence ministry.

Pakistan as well as international community have aired suspicions about surgical strikes as no supporting proofs of the strike were brought to light by the Modi administration.
In retaliatory firing, Pakistan claimed to have killed 8 Indian soldiers and captured one Indian soldier. Indian home minister confirmed that India was trying to to recover the captive soldier.
The “surgical strike” that was supposed to boost up confidence of Indian investors backlashed as the major stock markets crashed after the news of strikes.
